THF

Raw did not begin as a program, but as a gesture.
It was born in 2019, for curators and creators who needed space to move, time to experiment, and trust in order to take risks.
A field where ideas appeared before taking shape, before stabilizing, before being defined.

For seven years, Raw moved along the edges.
In the in-between spaces of the Foundation, it was born and multiplied.
Between inside and outside, the institutional and the unpredictable, the complete and the unfinished.

Each exhibition opened a new rupture — not only in the building, but also in the way contemporary art can exist within the city.

Today, Raw is no longer just a program.
It has diffused.
It has passed into the exhibition spaces, into thought, into choices, into the very ethos of the programming of the B. & M. Theocharakis Foundation.

It no longer operates exclusively as a separate field, but as an internal force that shapes, influences, and shifts.

Raw is changing skin.
Not to leave behind what it has been, but to carry it differently.
Like a snake in a moment of transition, when the old skin falls away and the body remains briefly exposed, ready to be redefined.
Ready to test other speeds, other forms, other forms of endurance.

The next phase of Raw is not yet fully defined.
And perhaps this is its most essential quality.
It breathes within the spaces of the Foundation, resonates, pulses.

We know only that it will remain faithful to what gave birth to it:
the need for risk, for dialogue, for art that does not ask permission.

Raw does not end.
It transforms.
