Rosa Torres-Pardo & Ioanna Kalogeraki

On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Mikis Theodorakis, mezzo-soprano Ioanna Kalogeraki and pianist Rosa Torres-Pardo take part in a musical encounter based on the songs composed by the Greek creator on Federico García Lorca’s Cancionero Gitano.

The music of Mikis Theodorakis will be complemented by Lorca’s popular traditional songs, selections from Iberia by Isaac Albéniz, as well as works by Manuel de Falla. This recital brings together classical music and folk tradition, creating a dialogue between Greek and Spanish musical heritage.
