W. A. Mozart – L. v. Beethoven – Modest Mussorgsky

Piano Recital by Aris Graikousis

Acclaimed pianist Aris Graikousis presents a piano recital offering a captivating journey in which sound becomes image, imagination unfolds into narrative, and the piano reveals the worlds of Mozart, Beethoven, and Mussorgsky.

Mozart’s Fantasy in C minor, K. 475 and Beethoven’s Fantasy in G minor, Op. 77 reveal two distinct facets of musical freedom, through dramatic contrasts, unexpected shifts, and bold sonic explorations.

The journey culminates in Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, a masterpiece inspired by the paintings of Viktor Hartmann, which transforms painting into sound and the piano into an entire world of colours, forms, and impressions.

A recital in which the power of pianistic artistry meets painting and imagination, in an evening devoted to the enchanting beauty of musical creation.
