Date/Time
12/11/2020
20:30 - 22:00
The Participatory Opera celebrates the Greek national 200th anniversary since the proclamation of the Greek Revolution of 1821 with a special feature of the operatic work The Siege of Corinth, composed by Rossini in 1826 aiming at offering moral and financial support to the Greek cause. Katia Paschou coordinates and presents the main sections of the opera with the assistance of video, excerpts from historical performances as well as live interpretations, and, of course, as always she initiates the audience to the opera through… singing! The event is graced by the presence of honorary guests as well as by new talents who distinguished themselves in the context of The Katia Paschou Project.
